Garden Produce

Although our garden went into the ground late, we're now reaping the benefits of it. Our two cuke plants didn't survive the ground, but our two pepper plants did. We planted the purple peppers. I like the sweet flavor, and, like a pop-up timer on the turkey, it tells you when they're ready by the color. So when I checked the plants this weekend I found not one, but TWO purple peppers plump and praying to be picked (ok, I'll stop with the alliteration). However they were so unique that I had to take their picture. Remember the bit in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy where Arthur said, "I seem to be having a tremendous problem with my lifestyle." and his words sparked an intergalactic war between two species that then came to Earth to war on us, until, due to an unforseen difference in scale, both invasion fleets were accidentally swallowed by a small terrier. Such was the case with our glorious plump succulent peppers.
An unforseen problem of scale. Yes, that's a real US quarter. Oh well, maybe next year.
