What's the purpose of car alarms in parking garages?
You're never going to hear your car alarm.
Nobody else cares enough to interfere with somebody getting into a car with the alarm going off.
It's amazing how many times I hear an alarm going off while walking past, or driving in, the local parking garage on campus. Does this really work?

I dunno, they don't seem to attract a lot of attention in the parking lot at my apartment either. And they go off a lot :(
